This grey boot has an interesting texture. It is a laser-cut leather. They also run a little narrow. The sole leaves black marks in the floor. It is a cute boot, but not my favorite.I LOVE this boot. First, the nubuck leather is beautiful. It looks dressier somehow than other Frye boots I have. I'm purchasing suede and nubuck protector so I can keep this boot looking nice. Second, the simplicity of the boot allows you to wear it with almost anything. The double zippers are a great detail, and also extend the boot opening for those of you with high arches or a wider foot. This boot can be worn with just about any pant. The shaft opening is wide enough to tuck in skinny jeans, and low enough that you can wear boyfriend jeans rolled up. It is a very versatile, comfortable boot.The fit is consistent with the other Frye boots I own. I typically wear an 8, and the 8 in this boot feels perfect.I highly recommend this boot. Give it a try.I have the narrowest feet on the planet which is why I love Frye boots: They tend to run narrow. I am a solid 8.5 in Fryes, and I obsessively have around 20 pairs. I ordered an 8.5, and my little toes were uncomfortable. Needed a 9, but they didn’t have :-(I like the style of these boots, but they are a little smaller than the other Frye boots that I own. I have about 8 pair of Frye boots, and I always wear a size 9. These are tight across the arch of my foot if I wear a regular sock. I can still wear them with a thin sock so I am keeping them. The charcoal color is really more like coffee color - on the brown side, not really grayish.Im a Frye loyalist and these are just torture on my feet : ( I went by the positve reviews and most of those are sponsored! if you have a wide forefoot- stay away from this style!!! They look so comfy and they cause so much pain plus have barely any arch support. For reference- I’m always a Frye size 10- I have owned and LOVED the engineer, the Sacha moto (my fav!) the Jane Tall, the mustang short and the campus. I was looking for a flat heel easy to walk boot and this is not it. Maybe I got a defective pair? May work if you have super slender AA feet. They look good and the leather will hold up- but you will be hobbling home in boots that look comfortable. I may as well just wear 5 inch heels and hobble home!The reviews were mixed about these boots and I was unsure about pulling the trigger. I’m glad I did. I’m a short boot leggings dress kind of woman. So I’m always looking for a new stylish quality boot. Yes the toe area is a bit stiff. But the leather is seriously good quality so this is expected. The overall leather color is an interesting dusty grey with even a brown cast in certain light. This is a win win - 2 boots in one. I’m summary- glad I got them. I take very good care of my boots and anticipate having these bad boys lifeBeautiful and leather was so nice and soft, but they just didn’t fit. I bought my normal 8.5 Frye size, but even with heavier socks, they were still slipping. I wanted them to work so much. Hopefully they work for some because they are super cute.Very nice boots, as expected from Frye. I ordered a half size up, as others had suggested. HUGE problems with the order, however: not only did I receive 2 right foot boots, but one was a size 8 and the other an 8.5. EPIC fail. Returned.Style and quality is as expected for Frye boots. a+ all the way. These however run really small. I would size up a full size. I’m a 7, I got a 7.5 and it was still small. The front is narrow. Easy to put on and good traction underneath, comfort is great if it’s your right sizeSome kind of the Cowgirl boost. They fit far too snugly.The leather sole is not for walking in the rain or snow. Overpriced brand, don't be fooled!Got them at a great price. Amazing quality.
