I always find it aggravating when people complain about the size of a garment without giving their body dimensions as their assessment of "too small" or "too big" is sort of worthless without them.So let me start with mine - I'm 6'4, 195, 42 in chest, athletic build and I purchased an XL. I was looking for a lightweight, slimmer fitting jacket/hoodie. For me, this hoodie was right on point. It was thin, lightweight, and looks cool. The XL fit me just like I wanted it to - trim, but not too tight. I was concerned about the length and that indeed is slightly short. Definitely wearable...but would have liked another inch or two on the length.I typically wear L clothing so XL was a size up for me. I recommend you do the same. Keep in mind this is slim fitting so if you have a tummy this might not be the hoodie for you.It's thin material like it says. It looks like in the picture. It fits pretty snug around the shoulders/arms which is good because it needs to if you want it to look like in the picture. The only nitpicks I have are as follows.. The zipper is pretty stiff and plasticky, it doesn't sound great as you are zippering (like a dufflebag), and the zipper is for left handed zipping. I think the biggest problem with the aesthetics of this hoodie is how the zipper ends near the top. There is no taper, the zipper juts out (squared off) of the top and sort of defines where the hoodie closes. It just doesn't look as nice as other hoodies I have in that respect. Otherwise, the hoodie is solid./editAfter wearing it a few times, I have another gripe. The sleeves feel about an inch too short so that the wrist is always exposed. This problem didn't exist with Alternative hoodies. You can kind of see how short the sleeves are from the given pictures.Because of what all the other reviews said, I knew I needed to order way bigger for my son. He is a 2X, but I often buy him 3X because things shrink. In this case, I bought him a 5X. It fits, but no room to spare. Despite the reviews, I ordered it anyway because I really needed a very lightweight hoodie, and this really was the only one I could find that truly is really, really light weight.This jacket is entirely too small. I bought one in xl (my usual size) that I sincerely hope will one day zip up. I bought another one in xxl and it zips but is skin tight. Both are being stored in the "aspirational" section of my closet.The material is super thin, which is exactly what I'm looking for, but also seems to hold up to extreme stretching under very sad conditions. The colors are great.Order a size up if you're into that body suit look, two sizes if you're looking for your regular fit.Thought I could get away with a medium, to get that slim fit.Had to return that.Ordered the large, and the sleeves were still just too short...Then the order disappeared from my "Your Orders" page, and I couldn't process the return.Had to call Amazon (always a miserable experience), as the 30-day return window had passed.A big battle with Amazon, after which they agreed to send me a return label for the item that would't fit right.Never again.This is a very lightweight, soft, fabulous hoodie! Exactly what we were looking for. However, did have to order a larger size as the medium was smaller than a normal men's medium. It was mostly in the sleeves and shoulders. Just order a size up.The product is a great product, but the XL is only a size L. The arms are way too short on the product. An XL from most stores will fit me. The arms of this, unwashed, are three inches shorter than expected!Great quality sweater, bought them for a friend who usually wears a 3x, so I ordered these in a 3x and they were super small. I reordered in a 5x and those fit well, so it is very evident that the sizes run super small. I get it but 3x is big enough and having to go to a 5x in this doesn't necessarily make anyone feel better about themselves.They however are great quality and I will definitely order them for my friend again.Didn’t fit.
